Researcher of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń becomes the laureate of the Polish Intelligent Development Award

Professor Artur Terzyk from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń became a laureate of the Polish Intellectual Development Award in the category “Scientist of the Future”.

The Toruń scientist was awarded for his project “Are nanohedges thirsty? New carbon allotrope and carbon nanomaterials as components of novel superhydro- and superomnify surfaces.” Professor Terzyk is the author of over 230 scientific publications, editor of one book and co-author of the other work. He received a scholarship from the Polish Science Foundation and a Prime Minister award for his post PhD dissertation.

The Polish Intellectual Development Award has been awarded since 2016, its winners are organizations and people who demonstrate pro future orientation in their activities. Projects, investments and ventures implemented by the winners are characterized by innovativeness and are examples of sustainable and intelligent development.
