Researcher of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń receives a prestigious scholarship

Dr Alicja Bartnicka, research assistant at the Department of Modern History and German Countries of the Faculty of Historical Sciences of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, received the prestigious American Scholarship of Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Advanced Holocaust Studies.

Scholarships in this year’s competition were awarded to a total of 16 scientists from around the world who will not only conduct their own research in the rich archival resource of the Museum, but also present their results, while working at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington.

The program participants can participate in the weekly seminars to discuss their research projects, conclusions and methodology. Dr Bartnicka will continue her research on the project on Jewish forced laborers in the General Government during World War II. The scholarship is scheduled from June to August 2021.
