Dr Eng. Grzegorz Kowzan, Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń received the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship-Global Fellowship grant. Thanks to financing in the amount of over 190 thousand euro he will be able to develop new methods of multidimensional ultrafast spectroscopy of gas samples.

The aim of the research is to increase the sensitivity of measurement methods by 4 orders of magnitude, which will allow e.g. to study multi-body effects in water clusters and to detect trace amounts of VOCs. The project includes a year and a half stay at Stony Brook University in New York and a one-year return phase at the Institute of Physics at the University in Toruń.

The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships support outstanding young PhDs from Europe and other countries through international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility and is an essential part of the European Research Area.
