Dr Brygida Solga, Prof. Opole University of Technology became a member of the presidium of the Committee for Migration Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in the term 2019-2022. She was elected for the third time as one of the best migration researchers in Poland, she is the only person from the Opole science community who has ever joined this prestigious team.

The Committee for Migration Research is a committee undertaking interdisciplinary issues of migration processes, with particular emphasis on migrations experienced in Poland. In the current term, the scope of the Committee’s activities will focus in particular on the promotion of research on the transformation of immigrant communities, attitudes towards immigrants and public discourse on this subject in Poland.

Dr Brygida Solga heads the Chair of Regional Policy at the Opole university. She has been a member of the Migration Research Committee since 2011.
