Dr Marzena Czarnecka from the Department of Law and Insurance of the University of Economics in Katowice received the CARS award for outstanding scientific achievements in the field of competition protection economics and regulation of infrastructural sectors.

She was awarded for the book “Information obligations and consumer behavior on the electricity market. Study of the law economy”, published by C.H.Beck Publishing House.

The CARS award is a distinction for outstanding scientific achievements in the three years preceding its granting. The selection of the laureate is decided by a specially appointed jury and the authors of works in the field of law or economy of regulation of infrastructural sectors with at least a PhD degree in legal or economic sciences.
