Dr Wacław Kulczykowski from the history department of the University of Gdańsk and Mateusz Sokalszczuk “scriptwelder” are the authors of a free strategic computer game about the old water supply system to Grudziądz.
The game is based on the results of historical and archaeological research conducted by Dr Kulczykowski. The player is responsible for supplying the medieval city with water and must use his skills to ensure that there is enough water in each house. He employs carriers, expands the water supply network, develops technologies and applies new inventions.
This is the second science game that has been prepared thanks to the collaboration of both developers. In 2015, they created the game “Excavate!” based on excavations conducted in the destroyed 17th-century evangelical cemetery in Nowe Monasterzysko. The game was received positively by players from around the world and had nearly a million views.
