Dr Katarzyna Zalas-Kamińska from the Department of Research on Conflicts and Political Violence of the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wrocław became a member of the Development Cooperation Program Council of the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Council is an opinion-making and advisory body appointed for a four-year term. Its tasks include presenting ideas on the priorities of Polish development cooperation, as well as giving opinions on plans for this cooperation as well as government reports and documents in this respect. The Council consists of politicians, as well as representatives of the non-governmental sector, employers and the scientific community.

Dr Katarzyna Zalas-Kamińska is a doctor of social sciences. Polish development cooperation is the main area of her scientific research. She is particularly interested in the participation of the non-governmental sector in “Polish assistance” and the issue of international perception of Poland from the perspective of its assistance activities abroad.
