Prof. Piotr Krajewski from the Institute of Spatial Management of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław became the Scientist of the Future 2021 in the Humanities, Art and Future Society category. The Intelligent Development Center awarded him for the implementation of the project “Identification and assessment of driving forces of landscape changes and landscape services in the context of municipal spatial planning”.

The project of the Wrocław scientist will be a tool of managing landscape changes in the spatial planning system for municipalities. This it is necessary to identify landscape services.

– We are interested in the way how the identified driving forces influence the range of landscape services, i.e. the goods and services that different types of landscapes provide to society and their economic dimension. We are also curious about the social need for changes in the landscape services- says Prof. Krajewski.
