Dr Mateusz Kwaśnicki from the Faculty of Mathematics of the Wrocław University of Technology joined the Academy of Young Scientists of the Polish Academy of Sciences. This is a group for people who are distinguished by outstanding research achievements and activities that popularize science.
Dr Kwaśnicki’s scientific interests include the theory of stochastic processes, the theory of potential, harmonic analysis and differential equations. He has been awarded many times, including prizes of the Polish Mathematical Society, the Start Scholarship Foundation of Polish Science and a scholarship for outstanding scientists from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
The Academy of Young Scientists was established to promote scientific research and development works of prominent young representatives of Polish science. Its members are elected by the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Sciences. At the time of selection, they cannot be more than 38 years old and must hold at least a PhD title.
