Professor Krzysztof Bogdan from the mathematics department of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology will receive nearly 600 thousand PLN from the National Science Center as part of the Beethoven Classic competition for Polish German research projects.
Professor Bogdan is an outstanding specialist in probability theory. He deals with issues such as boundary potential theory, Schrödinger halfgroup estimations, and Littlewood-Paley-Stein halfgroup theory. His project “Sensitivity analysis for non-local operators with applications for step processes” will be implemented in cooperation with Prof. Rene Schilling from the Technical University in Dresden.
The Beethoven Classic competition is organized in cooperation with the German Research Community, an organization that finances basic research in all scientific disciplines. Co-financing is granted from projects in the fields of humanities, social and art sciences as well as from selected disciplines of exact and technical sciences.
