The Polish government has submitted to the Sejm a bill amending the Act on foreigners. The new regulations will allow researchers and students from countries not belonging to the European Union to obtain a permanent residence permit in Poland for up to 5 years.
The draft law adapts the Polish law to the EU directive on the conditions of entry and stay of third-country nationals for the purpose of conducting research, studies, training, volunteering, exchange programs for schoolchildren or educational projects and taking up an au pair work.
The new regulations will allow foreigners involved in education to stay in Poland for a period to 5 years.
