Representatives of the Wrocław University of Economics participated in an international conference organized by The Climate Reality Project in Berlin. The purpose of the meeting was to draw attention to the problem of global warming and its economic, environmental and social consequences.
Professor Bożena Ryszawska and Prof. Piotr Szymański had the opportunity to meet with the founder of the organization – former US vice president and laureate of the Nobel Peace Prize Al Gore. They also received the “The Climate Reality Leadership Corps” certificates.
The Wrocław University is the first Polish partner of The Climate Reality Project. It participates in “100 percent. Commited”, one of the flagship projects of the organization related to the transition to renewable energy on campus. These activities are in line with the Paris agreement, where global leaders have committed themselves to reducing carbon emissions, developing renewable energy and a green economy.
