Professor Piotr Dominiak from the Faculty of Management and Economics, Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Innovation of the Gdańsk University of Technology and Prof. Eng. Zbigniew Krzemiński from the faculty of electrotechnics and automation became the laureates of the Minister of Science and Higher Education Awards for 2018.

Scientific interests of Prof. Krzemiński are primarily modelling of power electronic systems and converter drive using DSP processors. The scientist promoted 15 PhD holders, 5 of whom hold a postdoctoral degree. He is a reviewer of numerous publications, including monographs and 90 publications in domestic and foreign science magazines.

Professor Dominiak focuses on the economics of the small and medium enterprise sector and the role of entrepreneurship in the economy. He is the author of over 120 original scientific papers. He promoted 19 PhD students, six of whom hold a postdoctoral degree.
