Researchers from Koszalin to develop modern woodworking tools

Researchers from the Faculty of Technology and Education and the Mechanical Faculty of the Koszalin University of Technology will participate in the implementation of the project, which will allow to modernize technological processes and production procedures in the company owned by KPPD – Szczecinek S.A. in Kalisz Pomorski.

The task of Koszalin researchers is to develop and implement production of tools for processing wood and wooden composites. The project “Improvement of process and material efficiency in sawmill industry” will be implemented as part of the strategic research program and development within “Environment, agriculture and forestry” – BIOSTRATEG. The aim of the program, which was prepared by the National Center for Research and Development, is to increase the innovation and competitiveness of Polish companies.

The project leader is the University of Life Sciences in Poznań, and the consortium of the Koszalin University of Technology, KPPD-Szczecinek SA and the Warsaw University of Life Sciences.
