Academic staff of Department of Roads and Bridges at Rzeszów University of Technology (PRz) have an idea how to improve the punctuality of city buses in Rzeszów. They will talk about this during the seminar “Development of transport systems in Rzeszów”, which will take place on March 27, 2019.

The innovation of the idea is the use of a modern ICT infrastructure to manage traffic on bus lanes. The new solution enables the temporary use of the roadway on demand of an approaching bus. As a result, it is possible to more precisely prioritize buses and adjust the time of operation to the actual rush hours – explain Dr Eng. Mateusz Szarata with Dr Eng. Lesław Bichajło are the author of the project “Dynamically separated bus lanes”.
