The Paleozoology Department of the University of Wrocław invites students to lectures run by academic researchers from the University of Tomsk on Thursday, May 10 to the Large Lecture Hall of the Institute of Environmental Biology at ul. Sienkiewicz 21. Lectures will be conducted in English – informs the university on its website.
During the morning session, guests from Siberia will talk about the extinction of the woolly mammoth in the area of Siberia and northern Eurasia, global climate change, human impact and changes in environmental geochemistry as well as changes in the natural environment in the Chulym river basin from the Mesozoic to the Cenozoic era. In the afternoon session, a lecture entitled “Land settlements in the southern part of Western Siberia (area, geological structure, paleontological sites, research methods, expeditions)” is scheduled.
All participants will also have the opportunity to get acquainted with the scientific and didactic offer of the University of Tomsk. The visit takes place as part of the Erasmus ++ program.
