Researchers of the Silesian University of Technology including Prof. Bożena Skołud, Dr Eng. Marek Roszak, Prof. PŚ and Dr Eng. Dariusz Grabowski, Prof. PŚ have been appointed as members of the Polish Accreditation Commission (PKA) for the 2024-2027 term.
The Polish Accreditation Commission of the seventh term was composed of 99 people, including 13 members of the engineering sciences team. PKA members were appointed from among candidates proposed by HEIs, the General Council for Science and Higher Education, rectors’ conferences, the Presidium of PKA, the Students’ Parliament of the Republic of Poland, national scientific associations and employers’ organisations.
The basic objectives of the Commission’s activities are to ensure compliance with the quality standards adopted for higher education and to support public and non-public HEIs in the process of improving the quality of education.
