Leaders of Leading Research Teams of the University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław gained over PLN 12 million from the National Science Center programs. The amounts for individual projects range from nearly PLN 140,000 to over PLN 2.6 million.
Almost 2.7 million PLN was allocated to the project of Prof. Dusan Misić. The University of Life Sciences is the leader of the project. The special consortium was established to implement it, including Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the University of Warsaw. The project will be implemented at the faculty of biotechnology and food sciences of the Wrocław university within the course of food technology and nutrition.
The research is concerning the molecular and physiological mechanism of response of food pathogens to selected natural bioactive compounds and the development of biodegradable polymers with antibacterial activity.
