According to the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), the organiser of the Bekker Programme, 114 beneficiaries will receive funding from 401 applications submitted under the Mieczysław Bekker Programme, .
NAWA’s Bekker Programme is an active support for the international mobility of doctoral students, researchers and academics in their pursuit of scientific excellence by enabling them to develop their research in foreign research and academic centres around the world, regardless of their scientific focus.
Thanks to the Bekker NAWA programme, trips lasting between 3 and 24 months will allow researchers to stay in recognised research centres, establish long-term collaborations with them and carry out projects together with outstanding scientists from abroad. Younger scientists will also have the opportunity to carry out valuable post-doctoral internships, while doctoral students will be able to complete part of their training.
Projects will be implemented in 21 countries, the largest number in the United States (29), Germany (16), the United Kingdom (9), France (8), Spain (8) and Italy (7).
