The ‘Polish Metrology II’ programme has selected thirteen applications submitted by Polish universities and a scientific institute to receive funding for research projects. The aim of the programme is to support scientific research and development work carried out in cooperation with the Central Office of Measures in areas related to metrology.
The highest co-financing in the programme of PLN 1 million will be awarded to the Silesian University of Technology for the project ‘Development of a dose meter for radiotherapy in integrated optics technology’. In total, nearly PLN 10.5 million will be allocated to co-finance all projects.
The aim of the ‘Polish Metrology II’ programme is to raise the research capacity of metrology institutions and strengthen their intellectual capital. The initiative aims to increase the competitiveness of the Polish economy in areas of strategic importance to the country and to contribute to the development of modern technologies and metrology – particularly in the areas of health, environment, energy and advanced measurement techniques.
