Rector of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) in Warsaw Dr Piotr Wachowiak, received the Rwanda ambassador to Poland, Prof. Anastase Shyaka. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the cooperation so far, mainly with academic centers in Rwanda, and possible forms of developing these relations in the future.

During the meeting, the Rwandan ambassador confirmed his will to continue cooperation with the Warsaw School of Economics in research, academic exchange and implementation of joint projects. SGH and the University of Rwanda have an active cooperation agreement since 2018.

Prof. Wachowiak emphasized that the development of international cooperation, also on the African continent, is very important for the Warsaw School of Economics. The Rector’s Plenipotentiary for Africa emphasized the growing importance of Africa in international relations and our possible participation in the preparation of human resources for the implementation of the assumptions of the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), which is one of the most important achievements on the continent.
