In the hall of the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology of the Rzeszów University of Technology in Stalowa Wola, representatives of the Rzeszów university, self-government of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship and Huta Stalowa Wola (HSW) SA, local governments of the city and Stalowa Wola County signed the Stalowa Wola Agreement.

The essence of the agreement is “support for the process of ensuring long-term conditions for the stable development of the Stalowa Wola economic area, including HSW SA and all companies and enterprises located in the region of Stalowa Wola, Tarnobrzeg, Mielec, Nowa Dęba, Niska, Gorzyce and Leżajsk”.
The aim of this initiative is “to create the best conditions for stable social and economic development of cities and regions from the area of the historic Central Industrial District”. Signatories of the agreement are planning extension of the didactic base, scientific and research infrastructure, teleinformatics and laboratory scientific and research base of Rzeszów University of Technology in Stalowa Wola.
