On June 8, 2019, the 10th Day of the Discoveries – Interactive Knowledge Picnic will take place at the Rzeszów University of Technology. This is a regular event whose aim is to popularize science and technology in the form of a family picnic. Rzeszów University of Technology is the main organizer of this event.

The Explorers’ Day is divided into the thematic sectors: the science passage, the technology passage, the culture and art passage, and the square of history.

One of the attractions of the 10th Day of the Discoveries will be creating a comet. In an attractive way, viewers will learn about the structure of comets, where they “lived” when they were created and what role they played in the history of the Earth. The viewers will be able to see how solid cometary nucleus will be created from a few basic components. The organizer of this spectacle is Paweł Grochowalski from the Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
