The decontamination gate developed by WAAM start-up of graduates and employees of the Silesian University of Technology got the finals of the international competition HEALING SOLUTIONS FOR TOURISM CHALLENGE. The invention defeated over 1,100 teams from over 100 countries and became on the list of 9 winners.

The gate was rated in the “Healing for Prosperity” category. Competition in this area included economic and economic activities, e.g. smartphone solutions, circular economy, revenue management, restoring demand and solutions that have implementation potential in the tourism industry, both in the short and long term.

The gate is already working in two hospitals. Further installations are planned, but a lot depends on how much money we can collect for their construction. Demand is certainly very high – says Dr Eng. Artur Czachor, co-owner of the WAAM company, graduate of the Silesian University of Technology.
