Alina Kietrys from the Institute of Philosophy, Sociology and Journalism at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Gdańsk was nominated for the Bolesław Prus award of the Association of Journalists of the Republic of Poland for lifetime achievements in journalism.

Bolesław Prus Award, for many years had been the highest and most prestigious distinction of outstanding journalists, members of the Association of Journalists of the Republic of Poland. After years of interruption, the Association resumed awarding these prizes, according to the new modified regulations in 2015.

Journalists from the entire journalistic community, members of all journalistic associations and organizations can apply for the Award. The prize has two forms: the main prize for lifetime achievements in journalism (“Golden Prus”) and an award for a young journalist up to the age of 35 (“Green Prus”).
