The Foundation for Polish Science launches the twenty-second call for the Polish Honorary Scientific Scholarship, within which well-known German scholars can come to Poland for several months studies. From 15 June to 1 October, Polish scientists may appoint foreign candidates for scholarships.
The scholarship is aimed at honoring the scientific achievements of the scholars and stimulating long-term cooperation between Polish and German researchers. It is the equivalent of the Humboldt-Forschungspreis, a prestigious award for foreign scholars of the well-known German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
The Foundation aims to promote Poland as an increasingly attractive place for practicing science for both Polish and foreign researchers – said Dr. Tomasz Poprawka, deputy director for program activity at the Foundation.
