The Academy of Land Forces (AWL) in Wroclaw invites participants on 7 March to the student scientific conference “Cursed Soldiers – Steadfast Heroes”. The event is to commemorate the “Cursed Soldiers” and to contribute to the deepening of knowledge about them.

The conference topics include Forms of activity of the Polish independence underground; Youth Conspiracy in Poland 1944-1956; The repression apparatus and the Polish independence underground; The perception of the underground of the so-called independence second conspiracy by Polish society from the end of World War II to modern times; Cursed Soldiers and contemporary patriotic attitudes; The Narrative about Cursed Soldiers in the People’s Republic of Poland and after 1989 and Restoring Memory. From Cursed Soldiers to Steadfast Heroes.

The conference is organized jointly by: Naval Academy in Gdynia; Academy of War Art in Warsaw; Lotnicza Military Academy in Dęblin and Branch of the Institute of National Remembrance in Wroclaw.
