Dr Rafał Olszowski from the Humanities Faculty at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków, one of the winners of the SONATINA2 Science Scientific Center competition, will implement the project “Collective Intelligence on the Internet: Applications in the Public Sphere, Research Methods and Models of Citizenship Participation”. The researcher received a grant of over PLN 500,000 to finance the work.
The main research goal of the project is a critical review of the hitherto used methods of studying “collective intelligence” (CI) in terms of their adequacy for use in the public sphere – informs AGH University of Science and Technology.
As part of his work, Dr Olszowski will provide practical analysis of selected enterprises exhibiting CI features, carried out on the Internet and addressing issues belonging to the public sphere. It will also conduct an experiment using information software, where the behaviors of volunteers will be examined for the needs of the project.
