Prof. Łukasz Sadowski from the Faculty of Civil Engineering at Wrocław University of Technology was among the winners of the scientific awards of Division IV of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He was recognised for his monograph and a series of papers on the identification of the bonding level of layered systems made of cementitious composites obtained on the basis of multiscale studies of the bonding of layers and surface morphology by non-destructive methods.
The laureate is passionate about exploring the relationship between scientific paradigms and practical rules in construction, particularly in building materials engineering, non-destructive testing, surface engineering, construction processes and artificial intelligence. He is a populariser of sustainable development and the use of waste materials in the economy.
He has published more than 200 scientific publications and two books. He has developed dozens of construction expertise and is the author of more than a dozen patents, patent applications and utility models.
