Prof. Włodzimierz Zieniutycz from the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and IT at the Gdańsk University of Technology was awarded the title of the Ambassador of Polish Congresses. The title was awarded in a competition organized jointly by the Polish Tourist Organization and a non-governmental organization – the Association of Conferences and Congresses in Poland.

The award is granted to people who actively promote Poland as a place to organize meetings and conferences through activities in international associations. The condition for receiving the title is acquiring at least one international event for Poland in the last 3 years and convincing the jury of its commitment to the promotion of Poland.

Prof. Włodzimierz Zieniutycz, together with Prof. Paweł Kabacik from the Wrocław University of Technology, chaired the 13th European Antenna Conference (EuCAP 2019), which took place at the turn of March and April 2019 in Krakow.
