Scientist of the Jagiellonian University becomes the secretary of state in the Ministry of Science

Prof. Włodzimierz Bernacki, scientist of the Faculty of International and Political Studies of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow was appointed the secretary of state in the Ministry of Science and the government plenipotentiary for monitoring the implementation of the reform of higher education and science.

Prof. Włodzimierz Bernacki graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in 1987 in political science. In 1995, he obtained a doctoral title, and in 2005, associated professor title. In 2008, he became the director of the Institute of Political Sciences and International Relations of the Jagiellonian University. In 2013, the President of Poland awarded him the title of professor of humanities.

He is a member of the Center for Political Thought. He lectured at the State Higher School of Eastern Europe in Przemyśl, the A. Frycz Modrzewski Academy and the Ignatianum Academy in Krakow.
