Professor Radosław Gawlik from the Department of Internal Diseases, Allergology and Clinical Immunology of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the Silesian Medical University in Katowice was elected President of the Allied Health and Primary Care section of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology – EAACI).

Professor Gawlik was simultaneously elected to the EAACI Executive Committee managing the work of all organs of this organization.

The EAACI is one of the largest organizations in the world gathering over 50 national allergological scientific societies, about 10,000 scientists, researchers and clinicians from 121 countries around the world. It acts as a scientific reference body for other scientific, health and political organizations involved in allergy and clinical immunology.
