Dr Jerzy Łątka, a scientist at the Wrocław University of Science and Technology is one of the 20 semi-finalists of the ninth FameLab Poland. This is an international competition that helps science promoters to improve their ability to speak simply about complex scientific issues.
Dr Łątka works at the Department of Architecture and Visual Arts at the Faculty of Architecture of the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In 2017, he was elected one of 30 creative Wrocław inhabitants, and in 2018 he won the competition of journal Architektura-Murator monthly: ‘Personality of the 25th Anniversary’ in the ‘Sustainable and universal design’ category.
FameLab is an international format under the aegis of the British Council. The competition takes place all over the world, the Polish part is co-organized by the Copernicus Science Center. The winner of the Polish part of the competition will take part in the international finals of FameLab International in Cheltenham, Great Britain during the Cheltenham Science Festival.
