Scientists create an application to calculate the risk of coronavirus infection

17.04.2020

Researchers from the Medical University of Bialystok in cooperation with the Medical University in Wroclaw have created an application that helps calculate the risk of coronavirus infection in specific regions of Poland. It will show where there are most people with signs of infection.

The POLCOVID-19 application is to help identify the risk of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus by creating a virtual map of Poland.
The most important advantage of the application is the ability to check the risk of infection in the region in which the user is located. Everyone can find their poviat or city and check how many people are at high, high or moderate risk, and how many people have COVID-19 symptoms. In addition, people get access to more general but confirmed information on the number of infections, deaths and people hospitalized in individual provinces.

Everyone can minimize the risk of infection thanks to the POLCOVID-19 application. Users will receive specific advice and data on the number of people with COVID-19 symptoms in their environment.
