Scientists from the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań and from universities in Kiev and Lviv are investigating the situation of refugees from Ukraine. Researchers conducted surveys among over 500 refugees in Poland, Germany and Ireland.
The interviewers asked about their needs, fears and plans. The first part of the research ended with the report “Social Reception and Integration of Refugees from Ukraine”.
Although crisis and tragic, the whole refugee situation can also be seen as the basis for building friendly neighborly relations – the researchers emphasize in the summary of the first part of their activities.
In the second part, the scientists will conduct in-depth interviews and observe how those who came from Ukraine try to find themselves in a new place. In the third stage, it is planned to compare the initial image of the stay with the vision after a few months. The results of the study will be used to develop a report that will help understand the unexpected situation and propose several possible scenarios.
