Two new projects financed by the Ministry of Education and Science competition “Science for Society” will be implemented at the Koszalin University of Technology (PK).
“Central Pomerania – space, memory and identity in the regional discourse” – is a project headed by Dr Krzysztof Wasilewski from the Department of Regional and European Studies. Three scientists from the department will analyze the eponymous regionalist discourse published in various texts in the “Koszalin Yearbook”.
Prof. Jacek Knopek from the Department of Political Sciences is the head of the project “Death Valley” 1945. A place of extermination of Polish and Pomeranian intelligentsia “. The researchers want to verify the thesis that the extermination of the intelligentsia in Pomerania in the first weeks of 1945 was an example of the deliberate and deliberate annihilation of Polish traditions and national identity in the last phase of the functioning of the totalitarian system of the Third Reich.
