Researchers from the Koszalin University of Technology, together with their colleagues from five European universities, are implementing the project “EngiMath – Mathematics on-line learning model in Engineering education”. Its goal is to develop and implement an innovative mathematics teaching model among engineering students.
The main idea of the project is to use cooperation between higher education institutions to improve students’ involvement in learning mathematics, to remove gaps in mathematical knowledge and to develop an online model for teaching mathematics at technical universities.
Mathematicians from the universities of Poland, Estonia, Ireland, Portugal, Spain and Romania are working on designing a mathematics course model for first-year students. They use information technologies and means of communication to increase the student’s involvement in the learning process. The project is financed by the European Union under the Erasmus + Partnership program.
