Scientists from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Krakow University of Technology (PK) and the companies cooperating with them: Studio 3D, COLOP Polska and Fiberlogy – filaments are producing protective helmets for Krakow hospitals.

Helmets’ design was created based on publicly available projects. Their elements were produced using 3D printers by the Institute of Machine Technology and Production Automation at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.

Protective helmets are not the only help offered by the PK community. The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering is producing by 3D printing, extremely needed overlays for attaching covers for optical glasses are produced for the needs of the University Hospital in Krakow.
