During the inauguration of the XXII Festival of Science, Technology and the Arts in Łódź, distinctions were handed out in the 20th ŁÓDZKIE EUREKA 2022 competition. Two statuettes, out of the four awards granted, were awarded to scientists from the Technical University of Łódź (Politechnika Łódzka).

The Council for Higher Education and Science at the Mayor of Łódź, in the Science category, awarded a distinction to a team of scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry at the Łódź University of Technology for developing innovative synthetic technologies using asymmetric organocatalysis. 

The second award in the Technology category went to a team of researchers from the Faculty of Technical Physics, Informatics and Applied Mathematics at the Łódź University of Technology and the Grydsen company for the development of: GRYDSEN – an innovative psychological tool for the therapy of seniors using virtual reality technology.
