The adjusting mechanism of a single-screw extruder adjustable barrel and a mobile plasma device won medals at the 46th International Geneva Invention Exhibition, which took place in Switzerland on April 10-14, 2019.\

The adjusting mechanism of a single-screw extruder adjustable barrel was awarded a gold medal. This is the solution of scientists from the Lublin University of Technology and Portugal, developed as part of the Newex project.

Prof. Joanna Pawłat and young scientists Eng. Michał Kwiatkowski and Eng. Piotr Terebun from the Department of Plasma Technologies and Renewable Energy at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the Lublin University of Technology constructed a mobile device for plasming for the needs of agriculture and the food industry. The invention won the silver medal.
