Two scientists from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Sciences of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań received the scholarships of the Minister of Science and Higher Education.

Scholarships in the amount of PLN 5,390 per month for up to 3 years will be given to Dr Anna Maria Kubicka from the Institute of Zoology and Dr Marcin Hejdysz from the Department of Animal Breeding and Evaluation of Raw Materials. The ministerial funding is granted to scientists who conduct innovative research at a high academic level and obtain impressive scientific achievements of high prestige and international reach.

In this year’s competition, the applications were evaluated by an advisory team selected from the candidates proposed by the Main Council for Science and Higher Education, the Science Evaluation Commission and the Young Scientists Council. Almost 1.5 thousand applications were sent to the competition, of which approx. 1.4 thousand met the formal conditions and were assessed.
