20.02.2020

Scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław have developed principles of sustainable rainwater management in built-up areas for the residents of Wrocław. This is the second catalog of good practices. The first was addressed to investors, designers and decision makers.

“Principles of sustainable rainwater management in built-up areas” is a nearly 150-page study on solutions that allow rainwater to be managed locally through retention, infiltration or reuse of these waters for economic purposes.

The readers will find information on how to recognize the soil conditions on the plot, calculate the amount of runoff, choose how to manage rainwater and snowmelt water, and what plants to choose for planting. The scientist provide 16 specific solutions prepared for use, not only with the technical description, but also with presenting the benefits and limitations of each of the variants, or a list of necessary materials needed for their implementations.
