An interdisciplinary team of scientists from the University of Silesia in cooperation with experts and specialists from Asseco Data Systems SA has completed work on the construction of an IT platform for testing the competences of research staff and administrative support staff for the science and higher education sector in Poland.

The tool has been prepared on the basis of a unique model of 36 competences, identified as essential for the implementation of processes strengthening the university’s research excellence and its position on the international arena. These processes include: acquiring resources for research / art work, conducting high-quality research / art work, publishing research results, and commercializing research and development results.

The project team is entering the key phase of the project including conducting quantitative and qualitative research in leading Polish universities, in cooperation with local coordinators.
