Four scientists from the University of Silesia received scholarships in the Start competition organized by the Foundation for Polish Science. Young researchers will receive annual scholarships of 28 thousand PLN, which can be used for any purpose.
The Polish Science Foundation awards the scholarships to young scientists who can prove successful in their field of science. Annual Start scholarships are a recognition for the achievements of researchers at the beginning of their scientific careers and are an incentive for further development.
The Foundation for Polish Science has nominated 845 candidates for this year’s competition and selected one hundred the most outstanding young scientists. The awarded researchers of the University of Silesia are: Karolina Jurkiewicz (physics); Andrzej Dzienia (chemistry); Małgorzata Lubelska-Sazanów (law) and Oskar Jacek Rojewski (history of art).
