Scientists from the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow will develop a solar house as part of the Solar Decathlon China 2021 competition. AGH will cooperate on this innovative project with a Chinese technical university. The Academy is the first Polish university to take part in the global series of Solar Decathlon competitions.

The Faculty of Energy and Fuels at AGH was invited to cooperate in the competition by the China University of Mining and Technology, the project leader. The main task of the competition is to create a house powered entirely by solar energy.

The research goal of the Krakow scientists is to design the energy system of the house. Additionally, AGH is responsible for searching for partners from research units, companies and people related to modern construction who want to join this project.
