The Lublin Voivode, Lech Sprawka, and the Lublin Sanitary Inspector, Maria Korniszuk, addressed an appeal for help to Lublin universities. In response, employees of the Institute of Mathematics, Informatics and Landscape Architecture of the Catholic University of Lublin, Dr Marcin Płonkowski, Sara Jurczyk, Kamil Zieliński have developed software that creates reports on epidemics in the region.

Until now, the preparation of such a report on the current state of the epidemic of several dozen pages and containing a large amount of data, took many hours of work. Now Sanepid will obtain the necessary data within a dozen or so seconds. Thanks to this solution, it will be possible to more effectively monitor disease outbreaks, which are already around two hundred in the voivodeship.
