Scientists of the Opole University of Technology in cooperation with the Opole coffee roaster Hard Beans Coffee Roasters have developed the Hardtank, so-called cold coffee brewer. The device will be patented and is now taking part in a global competition of Sprudge Media Network.

Cold brew is a drink brewed with cold water, resulting in a refreshing, full-bodied drink with lower acidity and bitterness. Thanks to modern technology, Hardtank prepares a cold brew in 45-60 minutes (which used to take 24 hours) and reaches a capacity of 250 liters per day. A short extraction also eliminates the risk of oxidation and thus extends the life of the drink. The device can also be used in the preparation of teas and liqueurs.

Hardtank joined the final of a competition organized by the world’s largest and most popular coffee magazine – Sprudge Media Network. The device will be patented in Poland and Europe.
