Professor Magdalena Jabłońska and Dr Eng. Mariusz Wnęk from the Silesian University of Technology were awarded during the 28th international conference on metallurgy and materials – Metal 2019 in Brno, Czech Republic. The event was attended by scientists from Europe and Algeria, China, Egypt, India, Iran, Israel, Japan, Canada, Korea, Tunisia, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
As part of the conference, a session was held, on which 253 posters were presented. The evaluation committee awarded three prizes and five awards. Two of them were received by the scholars of the Materials engineering and metallurgy department of the Silesian university.
Professor Magdalena Jabłońska from the Institute of Materials Science and Engineering was awarded for the “Investigation on properties of structural steels deformed at dynamic conditions”, and Dr Eng. Mariusz Wnęka from the Department of Industrial Informatics for the work “Digital modification of fuel consumption and CO2 emission”.
