Scientists of the University of Life Sciences in Poznań received one million euro from the Erasmus + Program for the EQVEGAN project. EQVEGAN is a cooperation for innovation and good practices by building the Sector Skills Alliance, which includes 14 institutions from 11 countries.
The food industry is changing consumer diets towards plant-based diets. This leads to an increased share of production in the vegan food industry. Vegan food producers must master new processes and technologies in order to remain competitive. These needs will be answered by trainings carried out under the EQVEGAN project.
The project will run for three years, until November 30, 2023. The project coordinator is the Portuguese Technological University of Coimbra. At the European level, only six projects of this type have been approved for implementation.
