Scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Poznań were two of 156 winners of the Bekker scholarships competition funded by the National Academic Exchange Agency.
Dr Anna Kubicka received the scholarship for the project “Analysis of directional asymmetry in the lower limbs of hunter-gatherers, farmers and urbanized populations” which will be carried out at the Museum National d’Histoire Naturelle in France. Dr Eng Daniel Gebler was awarded for the project “Utilizing big data from river monitoring in freshwater ecological research” developed at the Universidade de Lisboa in Portugal.
The goal of the Bekker Program is to increase the international mobility of Polish scientists and academic teachers by enabling them to conduct research or teaching in the best foreign centers around the world. The most popular destinations are the United States, Germany, Great Britain, Italy and Australia.
